Week 1 under doctor’s orders

Well, the first week of painkillers and resting is over and my knee is definitely feeling better, the icing’s helping too (thanks Joggerblogger).  That’s icing as in coldness, not icing as in icing on a cake or icing sugar or any kind of icing based confectionary, even if the compress is living next to the Haagen Dazs in the freezer.

Knee is still quite stiff though, so let’s see how it is in a week.

Anyway, it’s Friday and it’s wine o’clock, yah!

Hmm, probably should have gone to the doc’s four weeks ago but I thought if I just didn’t run, then it would get better by itself.

My train to work and back goes past the marshes and each day when I go past it I think “aarrgghh, I want to be out there running”, it also goes past the park although I can see the park from my house anyway, it’s only about 3 doors away, aah, sigh, soon, very soon!

I need to get out soon though, if only to burn off the Haagen Dazs that is no longer living in the fridge, heh heh :-)
