Countdown to pizza o’clock

It occurred to me this morning that as I’ve been thinking about the pizza pledge running out tomorrow and getting excited about that (oh yes, my life is so empty I only have pizza to get excited about) , I hadn’t thought about whether I’m nervous or excited about the 5k tomorrow (a girl has to have her priorities straight, doesn’t she?).  Hmm, I hadn’t been nervous but now that thought has appeared in my head, I am a bit.  I’m really looking forward to it too although it’s been p*****g down here all day today and yes, I like running in the rain but no, I don’t want to be in town looking like a drowned rat and have everyone on the tube looking at me thinking “f*****g hell, look at the state of her”.  Plus I don’t want to get my pizza soggy by dripping on it.

Hopefully today’s rather inclement weather is the cause of my constant sniffing and my knee aching, and tomorrow I’m going to wake up raring to go, even if it does mean that I’m going to have to leave the house earlier than I do usually and, on a Saturday, that’s just wrong.  Why don’t they have races at a more civilised hour?  Early afternoon or something?  I could get my washing done first too.

  • Are using your Garmin to track them stats? 🙂
If it helps we all went to pizza hut for lunch – Everyone stuffed their faces with the all you can eat buffet menu… I had a huge… glass of squash :-/ I hate not being able to eat wheat… It looked and smelt LUSH!

😛 good luck with the run..

  • I got some special pizza tracking software for my Garmin 🙂

    You can’t eat pizza? Eek!

I’d forgotten about the running bit again, but thank you and have a good weekend 🙂
