Lunch, interrupted
I went out for a run and meant to do about three miles or so but I took a wrong turning and then I took another wrong turning and I ended up doing eight miles, which is more than a third of my total mileage during Janathon (thanks Fortnight Flo for pointing that out…) and it’s taken ages because I kept stopping to try and work out where I was and when I get back to the house, I’ve done 7.91 miles and so I round it up to 8 miles and when I get back it’s past lunchtime and now my feet hurt.
Stats
Distance: 8.03 miles
Time: 1:39:44
Pace: 12:25 m/m
Calories: 782
Wrong turnings: quite a few
What is this?! More running?? Febathon???
You ran 8 miles the day after Janathon? That’s really good that you did it, I’m sorry you got lost. Keep it up (not the getting lost). It’s a good start to February … 🙂
You didn’t tell us janathon was the warm up and the running started today!
Way to kick off febathon!! After reading your blog and some tweets from other janathoners, I have an urge to go out and run tonight too, even though I promised myself a rest – what have you done to me? I actually LIKE exercise now…you’ve achieved what Paul McKenna never could! Thanks for everything including gettign me started on Twitter. See you on the 12th x
This is good – your new running club should hold no terrors for you now
Flippin’ heck, get you! You’ll be leading the run at the get-together next.
Well done on the unexpected long run!! Even though getting lost is never that fun … you’ve proved to yourself (or rather you forced yourself unintentionally perhaps!!) that you can run ‘big’ runs!! What next?!?
Awesome!
I’m not sure that sounded like much fun.
Thanks again for Janathon. My 2011 has started in a totally fabulous way as a result of all the exercise I’ve been doing.
I also managed to have a good run as soon as the Janathon finished. Maybe the Febathon is not such a bad idea….?
