Freebies
I’m a blogger (but you already knew that, didn’t you?) and bloggers get sent stuff to review. It should be obvious from my posts if I’m reviewing something I’ve been sent, as opposed to something I bought myself, but if it is something I got for free, you can be sure that all views are my own and if something’s crap, I’ll say it’s crap and if I say I like it, that’s because, um… I like it.
Sponsored posts
Sometimes I get paid to add a link into a post (but that doesn’t mean all links have been paid for – far far far far far from it, this is the internet after all and the internet wouldn’t be the internet without links) and when this happens, I’ll tag the post with ‘sponsored’ (this is a recent thing so some old posts might say ‘sponsored by’ or ‘in collaboration with’ or something along those lines.
Affiliate links
If I’ve linked to a book or other product on Amazon, this will be an affiliate link so I’ll get 2p or so if you follow that link and buy something. Since 2002, I’ve made about £100 from Amazon affiliate links so it’s not exactly a get-rich-quick scheme so don’t worry about making me rich if you click on the links.
